The World Alliance for Mercury-Free Dentistry, in association with the African Center for Environmental Health and the Asian Center for Environmental Health, organized a conference of environmental leaders working to phase out dental amalgam use. The conference was held in San Francisco, California, United States on 19 November 2016.
The participants came from Bangladesh, Jordan, Cameroon, Tanzania, Kenya, Nepal, Cote d’Ivoire, Benin, Uruguay, Indonesia, Ethiopia, Lebanon, Mauritius, and the United States. They shared progress toward mercury-free dentistry at the regional and country levels and discussed future action.
