The World Alliance for Mercury-Free Dentistry’s mission is to phase out the use of dental amalgam worldwide.  To accomplish this goal, we promote effective measures to phase down amalgam use, especially:

   Setting national objectives for minimizing amalgam use

  Raising public awareness of amalgam’s mercury content

   Updating dental school curricula

   Modifying insurance and government programs

   Ending amalgam use in children and pregnant women
